WHAT WE DO AND WHAT WE DON’T
Jumpstarts and lockouts, yes. Tire changes and fuel delivery, no. We wrote out the why in “Why we won’t change your tire.” The short version: some things done half-right on the side of a highway is how people get hurt.
Usually, yes — within reason. We run flatbeds, not rock crawlers. Slid off a road after a storm, buried it in the mud, spun into a ditch? That’s our kind of job. If you’re a miles back on an unmaintained Forest Service Road, or a trail masquerading as road, that’s a different story, and we’ll tell you so.
Yes. Flatbed, handled the way it should be. Tell us what we’re picking up when you call so we bring the right truck.
COST AND PAYMENT
It depends on distance and what’s involved — but you’ll hear the number before we hook up, not after. No lowball on the phone that balloons on the invoice. If a quote sounds too cheap to be real, it usually is, and we laid out why in “What a tow really costs in Flagstaff.”
We go over the full cost before anything moves, so the number you hear is the number you pay. We accept CASH, M/C, VISA, ZELLE. (Impounds are cash only)
We’re not a motor-club contractor. If your roadside coverage is through a membership program, they’ll usually dispatch their own contracted truck. When you call us directly, you’re hiring us directly — you know exactly who’s coming and what it costs. Plenty of folks pay us and then file with their insurance after.
IF YOUR CAR GOT TOWED
Sometimes — it depends on where it was parked and why. We walked through the actual rules, including the statutes, in “Can your car be towed without warning in Arizona?”
First — look at any paperwork you have, whether that be from DPS, Sheriff or the Police Department, or call the law enforcement agency who had it towed. They can tell you quickly without you having to call every tow company in town. Then, call us and we’ll tell you where it is and what you need to bring.
No — we don’t do private-property or boot-and-tow removals. If you’ve got a genuinely abandoned vehicle and the proper owner authorization, that’s a different situation. Call and we’ll walk through it with you.
REACHING US
We’re a family operation, not a call center. Someone answers when we’re able to, and if you catch us after hours, we’ll be honest about what we can do and when — rather than promise round-the-clock and leave you waiting on a truck that isn’t coming.
Depends where you are and what we’ve already got out on the road. We’re local, so it’s usually not long — but we won’t tell you we’re coming if we can’t get to you. Call and we’ll give you a real answer for right now.
